GPS Treasure Hunt and Crystal Maze Challenge

For the 2026 ESSA Summer Event we are introducing the GPS Treasure Hunt and Crystal Maze Challenge as an option for those who wish not to play golf.

Attendees will be mixed up into teams at the event to encourage networking opportunities.

GPS Treasure Hunt

Attendees will be divided into teams, and each team will be equipped with an iPad.

Each iPad is pre-loaded with a dedicated GPS map that’s fully interactive and displaying the real-time location of the teams.

Teams move from location to location, guided by the map and the enigmatic clues.

When you reach each correct location, your iPad will reveal a mystery challenge on the screen. Complete these challenges to rack up points and dominate the leader board!

Team building treasure hunt games and challenges include:

Augmented reality games

Photo missions

Video challenges

Puzzles and riddles

The app will display a running leader board showing each team’s points and their position in the game.

At the end of the event, we'll have a presentation ready with all the funny pictures and videos for everyone to enjoy and laugh at together.

Crystal Maze Challenge

Spread across 4 activity zones, with 2 different crystal challenges waiting at each.

Teams will rotate through the zones, working together to beat the opposition before the time runs out and collecting the precious crystals.

Each crystal challenge is hosted by one of our event staff, making sure everyone understands the rules and plays fair.

Every crystal you collect grants you one valuable second in the Dome finale. Beat your opponents within the time to claim a large crystal worth five whole seconds. Fail to complete the task and you’ll walk away with only 3 small crystals, worth 1 second each!

Once you've conquered all the zones, tally up your crystals to see how much time you accumulated.

Finally, it’s time to enter the giant cash grabber Dome! Your team must grab as many gold tickets as possible within your achieved time. Make sure to avoid the silver tickets as these deduct points from your score!

The team with the most gold tickets wins!
